A tale as old as online dating.

Fast Friends (poorly written by Andrew)

Michelle had recently moved back to Raleigh after living out west for a few years and begrudgingly gave online dating a shot. A week after messaging Andrew, who was on vacation in Florida with his family, he finally messaged her back (luckily). The online conversation quickly led to an in-person trial run at Fenton in Cary on a chilly April evening. Despite Andrew not being smart enough to wear a jacket, the chemistry, humor, goals, interests and all the important life-stuff seemingly aligned enough to hang out for a three location night.

Fast forward a few months later, the two found themselves introducing each other to family, going on trips to Niagara Falls and the Outer Banks, hosting events with friends, and slowly but surely removing the other's dating skepticism. Michelle's family, living locally in Raleigh, were more than welcoming to Andrew in all of their family events. Having lived far away from his family most of his adult life and recently losing one of his closest friends, Andrew felt like he'd been given some crazy stroke of luck being surrounded by so many new amazing people.

Being two very independent adults, both decided to really put things to the test and Andrew got upgraded from boyfriend to tenant + boyfriend when he moved in with Michelle in early 2025. Everything seemed so easy being around each other and the love they had for each other grew. Their complementary personalities and care for each other culminated in August that year when Andrew popped the question prior to their Europe vacation - she didn't even hold it against him that he biffed the engagement dinner reservations!

After getting back from some much needed R&amp;R overseas, the two began excitedly planning the celebration of their love and that's where their story currently sits - looking forward to sharing good times with their family and friends!

Darrin and Andrew met when the two were ~5 years old and have been friends ever since!

Michelle's older sister and also an attorney, so it's safe to say they've spent some time arguing, but these days they're more likely to send memes back and forth.

Darrin's cousin, Andrew and Josh have shared many memories over their 30+ year friendship. Josh is an IT specialist, surfer, and great friend.

Georgia and Michelle met and became fast friends shortly after they each moved to Seattle in 2017. Now they've taken their friendship to NC since they can't bear being apart.

Chris and Andrew met in 1st grade, grew up in the same neighborhood, and somehow became roommates at 35 in North Carolina.

Hannah's an honorary Theret of 25+ years and the little sister Michelle wanted. They no longer play Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Hannah's all-time vampire), but their friendship is still the same.

Derek and Andrew met in 2nd grade. Once teenagers their shared love of competitive paintball cemented an awesome friendship and have kept in touch ever since despite Andrew living all over the place.

Michelle and Jenna met walking up a giant hill to law school orientation. Their friendship was forged in Bravo, Diet Coke- and fruit snack-fueled study sessions, and leaning on each other like only law school survivors truly understand.

Michelle and Jamie became close friends at the end of 1L year and quickly bonded over weekly trivia sessions at the Whig and a shared love of travel.

Dylon and Andrew met after he came to visit his brother Derek Murrillo in Florida while he attended Embry Riddle. The two lived together in San Diego and when Andrew moved to Raleigh - friends ever since.

Bri and Michelle met in college, and 18 years of friendship has taken them to Vegas, Palm Springs, Chicago, Portland, and more in true Thelma & Louise style.

Keean and Andrew served in the Navy together and became close friends during their first deployment. The two of them lived in San Diego (along with Mike) together and despite Keean getting stationed overseas and starting a family in San Diego, stayed close friends ever since.

Michelle and Tierney met in 2014 when the went on a 10 day road-trip through Spain and France. 2 years later they backpacked Europe and Southeast Asia together for ~5 months. 12 years and countless countries later, Tierney's been there for some of Michelle's favorite life experiences!

Andrew was one of the first people Mike met onboard the USS Mobile Bay and when he (and Carmen!) moved in with Andrew & Keean, they bonded over philosophy, humor, and a shared love of nerdy nonsense.

Michelle's brother's better half and fellow connoisseur of all things espresso martini, Bravo, and doodles. Baxter's mom is a firm believer that SUMMER SHOULD BE FUN!

David and Andrew met while serving onboard the USS Mobile Bay, also lived together in the infamous San Diego house, and Andrew eventually conned him into moving to Raleigh. David also played paintball competitively out west with Derek Murrillo and Dylon.

Andrew's younger sister! Becca is a talented hair stylist and salon owner and still makes time to chase after her toddler and savor the finer espresso martinis in life.

Michelle's brother, avid outdoorsman, class clown, and soon-to-be father who just got married himself in May 2025.

Andrew's niece by way of his half sister and not actually a unicorn.

Michelle's brother-in-law, fixer-of-elevators, appreciator of tech, punk rock music, and father of two.

Andrew's niece by way of his stepbrother (also confusingly named Andrew).

Lex Dalrymple

Andrew's nephew, Becca and Dan's son, and general appreciator of dancing and making people perform actions he finds funny.

Michelle's nephew, spawn of Tracey and Ryan, and lover of ice cream and monster trucks.

Georgia's hubski and natural entertainer. Aaron's here to keep the ceremony fun and interesting!

Michelle's niece and sometimes-doppelgänger, Sienna loves trucks, K-Pop Demon Hunters, and drawing.
